iLife: Perceptions and Expectations of Technology
Would you date a robot? With every passing year, technological advances are reaching more godlike dimensions—enabling humans to move about, communicate, and heal ourselves in previously unimaginable ways. As new technologies and applications arise, how will we cope with the effects of their power? In this study of 12,168 men and women in 32 countries, Havas explores our current relationship with technology, our hopes and fears regarding artificial intelligence, and our willingness to sacrifice privacy for efficiency. The study reveals that while most of us love the conveniences and capabilities afforded by our new gadgets and tools, we worry about the impact of our growing reliance on them and are concerned we may not be able to control whatever is coming next.
